EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
“Pause before the tabernacle by yourself, for no special reason, even without saying a word, simply remaining in Christ’s presence, contemplating the supreme gesture of love contained in the consecrated Bread”.
– Pope John Paul II (April, 1995)
Hours for Eucharistic Adoration
Morning: Each Friday 8:30 AM until Noon
Wednesday Evening: 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM
The REAL PRESENCE of Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament.
We all believe that the Blessed Sacrament is the true body and blood, soul and divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ under the appearance of bread and wine. Yes, we all believe it, but – do we realize it?
We all believe in the Blessed Sacrament; we believe in it without the shadow of a doubt; but we realize it so lightly that hours and days pass by without our thinking of HIS presence in the world. …Many of you live close to a church; you, may pass it daily on your walks, or as you go to and from your work. Do you think of the Blessed Sacrament? Do you realize that He Himself is there, as truly present as He was present in the Holy Land eighteen centuries ago? Do you realize the same pierced hands are waiting to bless you, the same gentle eyes to gaze upon you, and the same Heart is calling you, loving you, waiting for you to give it some sign of love or at least recognition?

“Where there is love there is courage,
where there is courage there is peace,
where there is peace there is God.
And when you have God, you have everything.”
― Louise Penny, The Brutal Telling
As we end this week after the election, each of us has the responsibility to accept the outcomes in a peaceful and responsible manner, just as this hymn reminds us;
Eucharistic Adoration is a ministry where the Most Blessed Sacrament, our beloved Lord Jesus Christ, is placed in a Monstrance and adored. One person must remain at all times in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament exposed in the Monstrance.
Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. In a deeper sense, it involves “the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us”. During Eucharistic Adoration, we “watch and wait”, we remain “silent” in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist…by worshipping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants us to be. Like a magnet, the Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us.
Here at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, we hope to schedule three Adorers to be present before the Blessed Sacrament. If three prayer partners are committed to each hour, should one be unable to attend, two individuals will be available to ensure the Blessed Sacrament is not left unattended.
If you become a SCHEDULED Adorer, you will have a set hour where you will be expected to be present in the chapel. If you are unable to make your scheduled hour in a given week, you will:
If you are unsure whether you can commit to one hour each week, consider teaming up with a friend or family member to alternate weeks. In addition, you will be each other’s dedicated substitute.
If you prefer becoming a SUBSTITUTE Adorer, you may be contacted occasionally for the opportunity to fill in for a Scheduled Adorer who is unable to make their hour. Receiving a phone call as a substitute does NOT commit or obligate you to take the open hour.
If you are interested in becoming a SCHEDULED Adorer or SUBSTITUTE, please contact:

“Merciful God, help me to put aside all of my excuses and respond to your call today.”
There is a “Prayer Intention Box “ outside the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel. If you have a special prayer intention, fill out a form, place it in the box and one of our Adorers will remember your intention during their prayer hour. The form will be disposed of after they have lifted your request before the Blessed Sacrament.
If you wish to submit a prayer intention online, please submit the following:
Your intention will be printed and placed in the Prayer Intention Box within a week – we will join you in prayer!
A Newsletter is prepared as needed, usually bi-monthly, to update our Adorers on miscellaneous information. Everyone is welcome to take a look at these updates by clicking the link below, or a current copy of the Newsletter is available outside the chapel, Please Help Yourself!
