August 2, 2012 Meeting

August 2, 2012 PTO meeting.

 Please look for the following PTO events…

 Sunday, August 19 everyone is invited to a Meet N Greet after the 11:00 mass. Students will be able to meet their new teachers and visit their new classrooms.

 Friday, August 24 – Welcome Back to School Drive In Movie Night on the St. Ambrose parking lot. The movie The Game Plan will be shown on a large screen. Popcorn and drinks will be available. This is an event for St. Ambrose School families.

 Monday, August 27 – Opening parent meeting. PTO members and members or all other organizations will be introduced.

 Week of September 17 (date to be announced) Science Night for grades k – 5.

 Class baskets will once again be part of the auction to be held on November 2. Each grade will be asked donate to a themed basket which will be auctioned off.

 Sunday, October 28 – Trunk R Treat from 4:00  – 7:00 p.m.

PTO is in the process of getting a speaker to address bullying

 PTO now has a fastdir account that parents can use to send concerns or to volunteer for PTO functions etc. There is also an updated PTO calendar on this account.

 PTO is in the planning stages of a possible family night to be held at the end of March – nothing definite has been decided.

 There will be another family drive in movie night on Friday, April 27

 PTO board meetings are held the first Thursday of the month.
