Welcome to Saint Ambrose Catholic School!

We are a Catholic elementary school located in the city of St. Louis, Missouri.  We were founded in the year 1906, two years after the founding of our parish.  We are located in the southwest section of the Gateway city in a very historic section called "The Hill".  Our traditions are strongly Italian due to the settling of the Italian immigrants in this area.

The 2007-2008 School Theme is "St. Ambrose Celebrates Service"

In 1999, the Foundation began funding and administering the Elizabeth Lay Midlam/Children’s Scholarship Fund program that promotes school choice, regardless of school affiliation, to financially disadvantaged urban families.

The St. Louis School Choice Scholarship Fund, a similar program, was added in 2000.

In 2007, the Help for Today - Hope for Tomorrow Kindergarten program for 100 city of St. Louis students to attend city, Catholic elementary schools was introduced.

Since its inception, Today and Tomorrow has raised more than $20 million for tuition assistance in the form of grants and scholarships for children to attend the private or parochial school of their choice.
