Stewardship involves sharing talent. Recognizing that God has given each of us unique skills and talents so that together we can do the work of Our Lord, we strive to share our own talents and to encourage and welcome others to use their talents to participate in the mission and ministry of the Church.
ALTAR COMMITTEE
At the direction of the pastor, the Altar Committee is responsible for changing altar cloths and banners for each liturgical season. They maintain and launder altar linens and server vestments, and assist with decorations for special liturgical holidays and events. ALTAR SOCIETY
The men of the Altar Society help to keep the church and the sacristy neat and clean. They also add to the beauty of the liturgical celebration by decorating for special occasions and holidays. They clean the church each Monday after the 6:30 a.m. Mass. Everyone is invited. ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
Saint Ambrose Athletic Association covers a wide range of sports. Our young girls and boys in grades Pre-K through 8 learn the value and importance of good sportsmanship and the mechanics of their sports while having fun. BIBLE STUDY
Bible Studies are conducted in series of six weeks through the year on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Church Hall. Each week the Old and New Testament readings will be studied for the upcoming Sunday Liturgy. Thus each week is a new beginning, and if you have to miss a particular study session you will never be left behind. BOY SCOUT TROOP 212
The Saint Ambrose Scouting program offers young men the opportunity to learn and develop through its structured programs and through interaction with leaders, parents, the community and each other. CHOIR

CUB SCOUT PACK 212
Pack 212 is a family and home-centered program that develops ethical decision-making skills for boys in the first through fifth grades. For our first graders we emphasize shared leadership, learning about the community and family understanding. EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS/LECTORS
The Eucharistic ministers serve as extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion during Mass. The lectors proclaim the Word of God at Mass through the assigned Scripture readings. EUCHARISTIC MINISTRY TO THE SICK AND HOMEBOUND
Ministers to the sick and homebound make home visits to bring Holy Communion to the home bound. The group also stays in touch with the homebound community on a temporary or permanent basis. Please contact Sister Sandra for more information at [email protected].
GIRL SCOUTS
The Saint Ambrose Girl Scout program works toward building girls of courage, confidence, and character. Girls join for fun and friendship, but also build character, and serve the community. Partnering with committed adults, they participate in annual fundraisers, and also host bake sales and other seasonal events within the parish and community. HILL 2000
The Hill 2000 Neighborhood Association was organized for the purposes of community leadership, organizing, planning, advocacy, education, and providing charitable works. Their goal is to create and maintain a strong, cohesive, and viable residential/business neighborhood. HOLY NAME SOCIETY
The Holy Name Society is a religious and social organization for the men of the parish. They meet on the 1st Monday of the month in the Cafeteria of the school. LA FESTA
La Festa is the annual parish picnic held the first Sunday in May. It is a wonderful, fun gathering of parishioners, community neighbors-near and far-a perfect way to reunite with school alumni and former parishioners. The event features booths for all ages, favorite Italian foods, an Italian band, rides and games. Proceeds of La Festa support the parish and school. LOWER LEVEL LADIES

MOTHERS HELPING MOTHERS
Mothers Helping Mothers brings moms of all ages together to connect though prayer, faith based discussions and fun. OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL
The Our Lady of Mount Carmel organization provides opportunities for social and spiritual growth to women of the parish. They also provide hospitality services for parish activities. They usually meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. and several times a year they sponsor day trips, lunch outings, and retreats. Women of all ages are welcome. PTO-PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA)
The RCIA program provides group instruction/catechesis for adults interested in joining or learning more about the Catholic Church. The weekly meetings begin in October and continue through Easter. RESPECT LIFE COMMITTEE
This committee is dedicated to raising awareness of Respect Life issues in our parish and school. They are the parish-based arm of the Archdiocesan Respect Life Committee, which promotes the Catholic Church’s teaching on respect for legal protection of every human life from conception to natural death. They coordinate educational, spiritual, pastoral, and public policy advocacy efforts. The committee also participates in the Archdiocesan Peace and Justice Commission. SAINT AMBROSE SOCIETY
The Saint Ambrose Society is an outreach ministry which strives to live out our gospel values through Corporal Works of Mercy. Volunteers serve the poor by preparing food for meal programs, serving food at various homeless shelters and soup kitchens, donating and assisting in the clothing pantry, and assisting in the home maintenance and repair program. SAINT JOSEPH’S ALTAR
The tradition of Saint Joseph’s Altar dates back to the middle Ages when Sicily suffered drought and famine. The people asked Saint Joseph to intercede on their behalf, and they promised to prepare a feast to honor him if he answered their prayers. This tradition is carried on at Saint Ambrose. Food prepared by parishioners and local restaurants is shared by all who come to honor Saint Joseph on this very special day. SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
The Saint Vincent de Paul Society was founded in 1833 in Paris by Frederic Ozanam and six of his friends. In 1845 the Society came to the United States, starting here in Saint Louis. The goal of the parish Saint Vincent de Paul Society is to assist persons in need to provide for themselves. They give assistance for utilities and rent, and vouchers for food, clothing, and furniture. The Saint Vincent de Paul Society meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. They welcome your time, your gifts, and your prayers. SENIOR CITIZENS CLUB
The Senior Citizens Club is a social group whose goal is to make sure our seniors keep in touch and have fun. Their focus is on friendship, fun and food. Our ushers welcome worshipers as they enter Church, take up collections, and distribute the parish bulletin after Mass.
